Everything You Need To Know To Get The Right Lifting Wrist Straps

Want to be fit and in shape? Who does not? I mean if anyone could wave a magic wand and POOF have the sculpted body they desired, who would not wave it?

Fitness means different things to different people largely because we all have our own unique goals, as well as our own reasons for having those goals.

There are those who just want to look good in their bathing suit, while others want to be attractive to others, while some pursue fitness to help them excel at a particular sport.

A small percent desire to be in an elite group of high level top performing athletes while many simply want to lose a few pounds, build some strength, work through an injury or really just want to feel better about themselves on a day to day basis.

Research has proven over and again regular exercise increases energy levels, burns calories, increases strength, helps contribute to healthy bones and heart and also promotes mental health and overall well being.

Considering most people are well aware of the many benefits of exercise and fitness combined with all the proven research supporting it, why do more not pursue a higher level of fitness than they currently possess?

The answer (for the most part) is pretty easy….

It can be HARD WORK and it takes time!!

Let us face it most of us are pretty busy between work, family, school, friends and leisure time, so who has time to hit the gym 3-5 times a week?

The good news is that you do not have to be a gym rat in order to be in shape… or at least better shape than you currently are.

We all know there is a glut of the latest and greatest fitness programs being sold online and through other marketing avenues but often these are largely gimmicks designed to make a buck.

The most important part of a fitness regime is to make sure it is sustainable for you when considering your current lifestyle and the amount of time and energy you are deciding to contribute to this new part of life.

Realistically very few people start at zero and can go hard lifting weights or doing cross fit 3-5 times a week for 1-3 hours each time. Or very few can start cycling and ride 50-60 miles per ride every other day.

There are a couple simple tips that can help you choose a fitness program that is sustainable for you in the long run.

1.Being honest with yourself. Determine your current fitness level and the amount of time you spend weekly on your fitness. This can include something as simple as going for a walk.

2.Decide on your fitness goal(s). This can be weight related like losing 20 pounds. It can be strength related, such as to increase your dead lifts from 250 to 300 pounds. It can be beginning to do core strengthening until you work through some lower back pain. It can be training to run a half marathon. The goal is really up to you. Again be realistic and honest with yourself.

3.Speak to a health professional to make sure you can safely pursue these activities and goals.

4.Speak to a trainer or expert in the field you are pursuing to determine the best approach to realize your fitness goals. You can even look online for this information but you want to make sure you are on the right path. It would be a shame to spend time and energy on some form of exercise that is not designed to move you towards the goals you have.

5.Break your large goal down into smaller bite size goals and then set time lines to reach each of these goals.

6.When you achieve a smaller goal… WAHOO… celebrate and reward yourself for a job well done.

7.Be consistent but kind. It is important to be consistent if you want to reach your goals but do not beat yourself up too much if you miss a day or you do not hit your goal by the deadline you set. Often people quit pursuing fitness or exercise altogether because they are too hard on themselves and feel guilty, bad or like a loser. You are never a loser if you at least try. If you fail get back up and try again.

8. Remember (unless you are a professional athlete who competes) this is not a competition. You are doing this for you. do not compare yourself to others in the gym or in the sport you are participating in. Have fun!! Find ways to make your activities/exercise more enjoyable.

The big thing about fitness is just getting off the couch and dong something instead of thinking about it or saying I will start on Monday… seriously?? That is one of the oldest excuses in the book.

The great thing about moving towards a higher level of fitness is after only a few weeks of being consistent whether its pumping weights in the gym, doing push ups at home or taking long walks, you will begin to notice a difference. You will begin to experience more energy, you will likely sleep better, you will feel stronger, have more jump in your step and mentally you will feel more clear and will tend to be more happy and positive. You also begin to believe in yourself and your self confidence will begin to increase.

Bottom line is, no matter where you are now, make a choice to move towards a higher level of fitness.

I promise you will not regret it.
